Q.
my boy having severe cold and cough....I'm giving medicine for 2days... still won't get cleared... want i can do as home remedy for this...

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello , your baby boy is 12 months old and he is having a severe cold cough so give him proper antibiotic and syrup Ascoril Ls 2 ml three times a day and steam inhalation

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor accordivng to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever angd the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
