A. If your baby boy’s foreskin is not opening, it is usually normal in infants and toddlers. This condition is called physiological phimosis and often resolves naturally by age 3–5. What to do: Do not forcibly pull back the foreskin—it can cause pain, injury, or infection. Gently wash the outer area with water during baths. If there's redness, swelling, pain, or difficulty urinating, consult a pediatrician.
