Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach.
during the feeding process child takes air along with milk and that air goes inside the stomach which irritates leading to hiccups. d
you have to offer feeding as well as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem and it is a self limiting problem
during hiccups just give breastfeeding again antd keep the child in upright position for burping which will stop the episode

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl1 Year agoA. You cannot do anything about it because these things are beyond our control so practically we cannot do anything about it they’re going to start and stop on their own only since they are just discomforting but it has got no negative impact on the child
