Q.

My baby is having high fever 103 degrees and fever is not coming down after giving medications from today morning..can u pls suggest me some ideas to reduce fever..

A. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed . Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home ghremedy to decrease fever. Adequateg fluid intake is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

Ibujesic plus you can give it’s a medicine that is going to help in instantly get down the fever please check with your doctor for this and also you do sponging on the forehead and behind the knees of the child that really helps a lot to reduce down the temperature also you can rub onion juice onto the body that also helps in reducing down the temperature
