POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. I'm sorry to hear your baby isn't feeling well. A fever of 102°F (38.9°C) can be concerning, especially if it persists despite medication. Here are a few things to consider:
1. **Response to Paracetamol:** If your baby's fever persists despite giving paracetamol and there's no significant improvement in sweating or cooling down, it might be a good idea to consult a doctor.
2. **Duration of Fever:** Two days of fever, especially with no significant improvement, warrants medical attention, especially for young children.
3. **Other Symptoms:** Take note of any other symptoms such as irritability, difficulty feeding, rash, or any changes in behavior that might indicate a more serious condition.
4. **Trust Your Instincts:** As a parent, if you feel concerned or uneasy about your baby's condition, it's always better to err on the side of caution and seek medical advice.
Considering these points, it would be advisable to get your baby checked by a pediatrician to ensure proper evaluation and appropriate treatment. They can help determine the cause of the fever and recommend the best course of action.
