A. sitting without support and crawling in children may sometimes come after one year of age also. if the growth of the child is proper no need to worry. just take care of regular diet and baby massage which will help in strengthening the muscles needed for sitting and crawling. d in some cases crawling may be absent in children and directly the child will begin to stand with support and later walk with support and then without support. take a medical check up done to confirm if there is need of any intervention.

A. It's normal for babies to achieve milestones like sitting independently at different times. While some babies may start sitting independently by 6 to 7 months, others may take longer, up to 9 or 10 months, or even later. Here are some insights to consider: ### Factors Affecting Sitting Milestone: 1. **Muscle Strength:** Developing core and back muscles is essential for sitting independently. Some babies may need more time to strengthen these muscles. 2. **Balance and Coordination:** Sitting requires balance and coordination, which babies develop gradually as they grow and gain more control over their bodies. 3. **Developmental Variations:** Each baby develops at their own pace. It's normal for the timing of milestones like sitting to vary among babies. ### What You Can Do: - **Encourage Tummy Time:** Allow your baby plenty of supervised tummy time to strengthen their neck, back, and core muscles. This helps prepare them for sitting. - **Provide Support:** Use pillows, cushions, or supportive chairs designed for infants to provide stability as your baby practices sitting. - **Practice Sitting Together:** Sit with your baby on the floor and support them as they practice sitting. Use toys or activities to keep them engaged and motivated to sit upright. ### When to Consult Your Pediatrician: - If your baby has not shown any attempts to sit independently or make progress in sitting by around 9 to 10 months. - If there are concerns about your baby's overall development or if they show delays in multiple milestones. ### Developmental Check-ups: - During regular pediatric visits, your doctor will monitor your baby's development and discuss any concerns you may have. ### Patience and Support: Remember that babies develop skills at their own pace, and some may take longer than others to achieve milestones like sitting independently. Providing a supportive environment and encouraging exploration and movement will help your baby develop these skills naturally. If you have specific concerns or notice unusual patterns in your baby's development, consulting with your pediatrician can provide reassurance and guidance.
