A. For a baby with lice, it’s important to use products that are specifically formulated to be safe for infants. Many lice treatments contain strong chemicals that are not recommended for very young children. Here are a few safer options to consider: 1. **Manual Removal**: Use a fine-toothed comb to carefully remove lice and nits from the baby’s hair. This method is safe and effective but requires patience and persistence. 2. **Natural Treatments**: Some natural remedies like coconut oil or olive oil can help suffocate lice, though their effectiveness may vary. These oils can be applied to the hair, left on for a while, and then combed out. 3. **Consult a Pediatrician**: Always check with your pediatrician before using any lice treatment. They can recommend safe products or methods tailored to your baby’s age and health. Avoid over-the-counter lice treatments designed for older children or adults, as they may contain ingredients that are not safe for infants.
