Q.

my baby is 28 days old she was detected jaundice after birth but no treatment was given as the dr said it goes away by keeping her in sunlight but now her eye yellowness is not going now her bilirubin level is 11.5 but still the Dr is saying it goes away slowly i am very worried about her eye yellowness plzz plzz suggest what to do???

A. It is advisable to investigate the baby in detail and it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination and if it is need for appropriate investigations in this regard and far proper management of the problem

A. See jaundice this is completely normal and common with a child after birth but the doctor is normally advised to keep the child into phototherapy depending upon the levels for a minimum of 24 to 48 hours after that when the discharge is done the doctor says that you should give the child into indirect sunlight for at least 30 to 40 minutes into indirect sun rays. Right now I think you should talk to your doctor and we keep your child into phototherapyWrite Your Answer Here
