Q.

My baby is 2.2 years and she doesnt speak yet however she tries to say alphabets and numbers and some words that she tries to make efforts however not clear words..she says mama and da but very moody, if she wants something she will say vvv so do you think its time for speech theraphy, she undeestand when spoken to her talking is a task

A. is it because of screen time? is there any toys apart from talking to her will help, what do we do

A. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months . child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age . just make the child comfortable and do more interactiogyn with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly. if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need tto consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
