my baby is 13 months old. her birth weight is 3.1 and now her weight is 8.4. doctor told underweight and want to do blood test for iron

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician2 years agoA. it's ok Weight gain depeens upon birth weight and maturity of the baby if the baby is active and feeding adequately don't worry about it give milk shake with dry fruit powder for weight gain get deworming done and give iron supplements

Yes it is underweight as of now it should be somewhere around 10 1/2 KG at least minimum of 10 KG so that’s definitely a matter of concern and years if you require you can get a deficiency test done for yo China accordingly you can start with the supplements
