Q.

My baby is 1 month old . He is not latching on one side of the breast and it becomes painful. On the other side he is latching but shallow latch. The prob is he is not wide opening his mouth . I tried tickling his lips and chin. Nothing works. Kindly give me tips & suggestions plz.

A. Steps to a Good Latch Tickle your baby's lips with your nipple. This will help baby open their mouth wide.Aim your nipple just above your baby's top lip. Make sure your baby's chin isn't tucked into their chest.Aim your baby's lower lip away from the base of your nipple.
