mam,it is harmless and it's not medically necessary to get rid of it .
you can try some homemade remedies to reduce or prevent it .
1.brush your baby's scalp
it is a good way to move some flakes off their head,but be careful not to pick or scrape at the flakes.
2.gently Massage the coconut oil in for about a minute .leave oil to soak in for about 15 minutes.
you can wash the oil out with a gentle Baby shampoo like Babyhug brand shampoo which is rich with milk protine which will help in this.
3.you can try aloe vera gel also.
