Q.

my baby got pentavalent injection n got polio dro at 6 week .. she didnt get IPV vaccine she recieved polio drop .. due to non availability of injection in govt hospital .. is it fine to get polio drop instead of IPV #Vaccination

A. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing to worgry. Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locally and paracetamol can be given for fever or pain.g Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

A. Yes yes absolutely not a problem if you’re getting polio drops done whenever the government is getting them done or you get it done from a private hospital it’s okay the most important part is that you are getting polio drops done if the vaccination is not available so that is totally fine
