Q.
My baby boy weight at birth is 3.37 kgs (April 24,2024) and after 2 days his weight is 3.1 kg. Now his weight is 4.4 kgs.Is it ok or is he increasing weight rapidly?

the baby should be double the birth weight by 6 months or less
baby should be triple the birth weight by 1 year
for healthy weight gain exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and yes baby loose some weight aftwr births and gain aftwr that and baby weight should be doubled the birth weight in first six months. And also should gain minimum 500-800 gms weight in a month.
