Q.
My baby boy ( 7 and 1/2 months old) is having cough and cold for last 1 week. He is teething also. Doctor gave him cough syrup which he is taking for last 5 days. From yesterday he is pooping much more and the poop looks like it contain the cough. My question is -is it normal for the babies pooping more while taking cough syrup?

AnuradhaGuardian of a 4 yr 8 m old girl4 years agoA. don't worry this is normal... generally cough is getting out either from pooping or by oral or vommiting..this is good all cough will get out...if there is dry cough and cold then you have to consult your pediatrician

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. it maybe any viral . Sneezing and cough may be due ti any seasonal variation or may be any viral infection . Steam can be given 3 times and if fever then paracetamol can be given up to 3 times . For cough asthkind LS can be given .
