my baby 3 month old HB 9 gm/ dl ...Dr adviced for Iron syrup .... I just want to know what is the reason for decrease hb in this time ??

A. A lot of kids from the time of birth only do not have sufficient amount of haemoglobin which is why the doctor may have advised you with a supplement and with progressing age when you start giving food to the child that’s when you increase more of Iron intake in terms of food and vegetables and fruits that you give

My son is 3+ Dr told me to do hb test I does sahli hb test(capillary) the reading will be 7 gm i again does the same test(sahli) next month reading will be 7.4 gm. then I consult other paediatrician he advice me to does CBC blood test(vein) from a good laboratory result came and hb is 10 gm,i m very much confused first Dr. says hb is low other told that in this particular age hb is 10-12 gm and he recommended tonoferon iron syrup.i already gave the iron syrup for two months, a very worrying situation for me and I m totally confused, kindly told me about both the blood tests and why there is variation and which diet is suitable..
