my 7 month old baby is having reddish buttock event hough I'm applying diaper rash cream.is it because of any food allergy and how much water can I give baby per day ?

A. Apply coconut oil and see. Few spoons of boiled and cooled water after feeding solids will be sufficient for a six month old. Then one can slowly increase the amount as the baby gets older. Too much of water can also fill the stomach and baby will resist to take other solids. Other than water Baby will get the needed hydration through breastmilk or other liquids that u feed. On an average babies upto one year can take around 60 to 100ml water per day if they have adequate Breastmilk or formula. If there is no proper hydration ur baby may pee in dark yellow colour.
