A. If your 5-month-old daughter has round, dry patches of skin, it’s usually due to dryness, mild eczema, or irritation. Here’s what you can safely apply: ✅ Safe Remedies: Moisturizing cream or lotion: Use a gentle, fragrance-free baby moisturizer like Cetaphil Baby, Aveeno Baby, Sebamed, or Bioderma. Coconut oil: Virgin cold-pressed coconut oil is natural, soothing, and safe for baby skin. Apply moisturizer 2–3 times daily, especially after bathing to lock in moisture. ❗Watch for: Redness, oozing, or crusting — may indicate eczema or infection. If the patch is growing or spreading, or your baby seems uncomfortable or itchy, consult your pediatrician. Avoid using adult creams, steroid ointments, or powders without a doctor’s advice. Let me know if the patch is itchy or how long it has been there for more specific guidance.
