Q.

my 5 month old has not passed stools for the past 4 days. he has been passing foul smelling farts. what can I do.

A. it is totally normal for small children less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also. it is also normal if they are passing stool more than 6 or 7 times per day. if the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as the colour of the stool. also straining while passing urine and stool is normal. Do burping for 15 to 20 minutes meet dr if not improve ing

A. hi nothing to worry it is normal just offer plenty of breastfeeds. as you are nursing mother, eat easy to digest food. give Massage to your child ,give Massage on stomach in clockwise direction with firm hands. move your child legs in cycling motions ,it will definitely help in this
