my 3 days old son didn't urinate for 30 hours please tell the reason

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician3 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is newborn just 3 days old and he has not passed pee since last 30 hours so it’s not a good sign as summer months he has a dehydration and needs urgent iv fluids

A delay in starting to urinate is more common among boys. The first bowel movement is a sticky greenish black substance called meconium. Every baby should pass meconium within the first 24 hours after birth.
