Q.

my 13 month old having fever 101.3 Fahrenheit..no other illnesses..what can be underlying cause?

A. ok Any temperature above 100 F is fever in babies Always measures temperature in armpits only.  No need to give any fever medicine if fever is below 100 F.  If asociated complaints like cough, cold, loose motion  Treat that accordingly as per ur pediatricians advice. Keep ur baby well hydrated.  Baby should pass minimum urine 6-8 times per day.  Visit ur pediatrician once.

A. Fever basically is a response to some kind of an infection in the body it so it could be just a minor infection which is why the fever is there it is not necessary the child is going to have cold or cough it could be anything if the fever does not subside maximum within three days then you need to go ahead with consulting the doctor and little little high so start doing cold sponging on the entire body
