my 1&1/2 month baby getting hiccups many times in a day is it normal to get and she is crying in night's... just want to know the reason.

A. hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach. during the feeding process child takes air along with milk and that air goes inside the stomach which irritates leading to hiccups. you have to offer feeding as well as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem and it is a self lixmiting problem during hiccups just give breastfeeding again and keep the child in upright position for burping which will stop the episode

A. for night time crying , I would suggest to apply Babyhug tummy roll on around navel of your child which gives instant relief in stomach pain.

A. hi yes ,it is usually normal it happens because of fast feeding, overfeeding or incorrect latching etc so please make sure that your child latches properly. avoid overfeeding. feed your child on demand. don't wait until your child is extremely hungry for feeding burp your baby in between and after each feeding
