Meningococcal conjugate vaccine - Menactra vaccine is given at which age to baby (my baby was given while she was 13 months old. ) please guide is it given rightly and which diseases are prevented by this vaccine

A. meningococcal vaccine is an optional vaccine. it is usually given either at 9 months of age and one year of age as a a 2 dosage regimen or you can go for a single dosage after two years of age.v your doctor is the best person to tell you whethetr it is required by your child or not. my personal advice would be that if you can afford the vaccine you should get the child vaccinated for any disease for which vaccine is available

A. hi it is optional vaccine so don't worry it can be given if such bacterial Infection prevails in your area. otherwise no need of it .
