There can be lot of individual variation in the problem sometimes there is need to do physical examination and if required for investigations also to come to the diagnosis and give appropriate advice ok
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. Yes, there is a chance for a child to have Down syndrome with a T21 risk of 1 in 188. This ratio means that out of 188 pregnancies, one is expected to result in a baby with Trisomy 21, also known as Down syndrome.
While this risk is relatively higher compared to lower ratios (such as 1 in 1,000 or 1 in 10,000), it does not guarantee that a child will have Down syndrome. It indicates a probability, and further diagnostic tests, such as chorionic villus sampling (CVS) or amniocentesis, can provide more definitive information.
Consulting with a healthcare provider or a genetic counselor can help understand these risks better and discuss the options for further testing and support.
