I would not suggest any self medication for such a small child as self medicating such a small child may be harmful. its better to consult a pediatrician to have a detailed physical examination of your child and relevant treatment accordingly if needed
ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician7 years agoA. Hello, sure you can also apply candid powder along with zinc oxide cream at diaper rashes area.
It is important to change diapers every two to three hours. Keeping the baby longer than this period with a used diaper can cause infections or rashes.
When the baby passes stool, then it is a must to change the diaper immediately to maintain hygiene.
After removing the diaper, don’t make your baby wear another diaper immediately. Allow his skin to breathe, let it be free for some time.
Clean your baby’s skin with baby wipes or cloth after removing the diaper. You can use baby lotion, coconut oil, moisturizers, and baby powder. All these accessories help in maintaining good hygiene.
Vaseline before wearing diaper n keep baby diaper free for 1 to 2 hrs a day...diaper rash cream can itself cause rash...so dnt use it for prophylaxis...use it nly if rash is developing..U can use coconut oil also instead of Vaseline

Shikha kumarMom of 2 children7 years agoA. hello mother Candid dusting powder is mostly advisable to adults so do not use it without asking your doctor it's preferable to use the ointment which you are already using and also after applying it leave your baby open without any bottom
