A. Infant dyschezia rarely lasts more than a week or two. It will resolve spontaneously as the child develops. It's upsetting for parents to watch their babies struggle, but infants with dyschezia aren't sick . infants cry to produce the necessary abdominal pressure to poop, not because they're in pain. No treatment is necessary or recommended.
