I'm giving my baby regular vaccination as prescribed by the doctor, wanted to check if polio drops are mandatory as well.

pulse polio immunization is extra dosage irrespective of the vaccination schedule as well as the vaccination that is been given to the child.
it is advisable that you get the child vaccinated for polio if the child is not having any type of fever at present.
simple coufgh and cold is not a contraindication for polio drops.
it is usually available at any government centre that is primary and centre or urban health centre

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. For protection, all children must be immunized against polio, with OPV every time it is offered. Polio is a proven safe vaccine. There are no side effects to OPV, and it is not harmful to take it multiple times.
