So include lot of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains in your daily diet.
daily do some exercise to keep yourself healthy inside out.
Follow good hair care like -Oiling hair with a mixture of oils like olive, alla oil, onion seed oil, sesame, coconut and castor oil keeps provides moisture to hair and prevent them from drying and breakage.
Avoid stress and take adequate rest.

To reduce it, include protein, iron and calcium rich foods alongwith lots of fluids. Massage scalp with mild oil like olive or coconut or almond oil twice a week and wash off with sulphate free shampoo. Do not comb wet hair and do not use heat and chemical treatments. Applying onion juice once a week will help too.
