Q.

I delivered my second baby in the emergency c section at 34 weeks. She is late preterm baby. So doctors advised to take a special care until she reaches her birth stage. I am doing exclusively breastfeeding to gain weight but she prefers expressed breast milk rather than direct. I am trying her to direct latching but she tries and start crying so im giving expressed milk. My concern is after a month will she practice direct breastfeeding.

A. Steps to a Good Latch Tickle your baby's lips with your nipple. This will help baby open their mouth wide. Aim your nipple just above your baby's top lip. Make sure your baby's chin isn't tucked into their chest. Aim your baby's lower lip away from the base of your nipple.
