Q.

i am 8 month pregnant... my scan report shows bilateral renal pelviectasia for my baby. it shows 7mm and 8mm in right,left kidneys. I am worried about it. is this normal? please reply...

A. Mostly in maximum cases it gets reduced as the baby grows you just need to have regular follow up about this with your doctor and have proper treatment if needful. so just have positive attitude and follow a Healthy lifestyle

A. Fetal mild bilateral pyelectasis with no calyceal dilatation is a benign condition that can be managed in the postnatal period. The initial renal pelvis diameter and the diameter in week 31 or 35 were valuable parameters for identifying cases that would eventually need specific postnatal procedures.
