how to wean my 22 months old baby from breastfeeding. tried many options but nothing is working.

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist2 years agoA. dear mum, breastfeeding should be stopped gradually for your 22 months old baby.
Ensure that the child eats enough; increase number of meals.
Increase interval between breastfeeds. Drop one feed every day per week. Taper over 2-3 months.
Stop morning breastfeeds first, then afternoon feeds after 2 - 3 weeks. Avoid situations that remind the baby of the breast: other family members and father can help with feeding and putting child to sleep.
The nighttime feeding is usually the last to go.
