hair loss in babies is very common and because of many reasons.
Because of the withdrawal maternal hormone initial hairfall is there.
After birth all the hair of the baby remain in the resting phase and usually by 8 to 12 weeks of age shedding of hairs is there . 
Hairs will grow back mostly by 3-7 months but a proper quality hair will be there by around 2 years of age. 
Cradle cap is also a cause for frequent shedding of hairs. along with traction alopecia because oif continuous pressure on head in lying position. to resolve the problem of cradle cap you can apply flutivate e cream over the scalp for one week and then discontinue but if t6he problem persists then you should consult your doctor for proper treatment.

To reduce dandruff in kids, it is important not to keep the scalp dry. Massage the head with mild oil like olive or coconut or almond oil twice a week and wash off with gentlr and chemical free shampoo from brands like Babyhug or Mamaearth or Sebamed. Apply oil only before 30-45 minutes if giving bath and do not keep it otherwise it will cause flakiness, itchiness and eventually dandruff. Include good diet with lots of fluids.
