how to reduce cold nd cough in 70 days old baby? I am using nasal drops nd steam for baby,still it is not reducing.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type so of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy3 years agoA. hello you can put nasal drops for cold and instant cold releif from Babyhug which is safe and in regards to the medication it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly
