Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. when fever comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain.
paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day.
you can also appxly ice over the injection site.
if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel.
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causexs of fever

Sai Prasanthi R LMom of a 11 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. Hello dear parent! Try giving a light cold compress on the vaccinated area. Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby well on demand. Give one dose of paracetamol drops if required for the pain. Keep Babyhug medicine dropper handy.
