hlo dr my baby is 17 month she sucking her thumb how to leave this bad habbit as soon as possible

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go .
In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be phycological cause and feeling of insecurity or some stress . Just try to make the child comfortable and divert in some activities also spend good time with the child . h
In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solution available which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be appnllied locally .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl3 years agoA. Put Something edible but with a very bad taste onto the tab of your child probably that way your child is going to give up on it because kids cannot sometimes alright really bad day so you should try using this trick
