hii my son is 22 months old and he only says mama. is there anything to worry about.

A. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months . child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age . just makeg the child comfortable and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak segntences properly. if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .

A. If. The child is reaching all the milestones on time and understanding every thing that you were explaining your child is responding to every thing understanding every thing following small small commands then there is nothing to be worried about
