A. The important thing is the consistency of the stool so if it is semi solid to solid do not worry about the frequency of stool passage by the child. It can vary from once in 10 days also and sometimes maybe around 6 to 7 times per day also. If the consistency of the stool is hard then only you have to visit the doctor.x the crying as well as irritability is mainly due to colic pain and not due to constipation. x

A. For a one-month-and-eighteen-day-old baby, bowel movement patterns can vary. It's common for infants, especially those who are breastfed, to have infrequent bowel movements. Some babies may pass stool several times a day, while others may only do so every few days. If your baby is otherwise healthy, gaining weight, feeding well, and not showing signs of discomfort or distress, infrequent bowel movements are usually not a concern. However, if you notice any of the following, you should consult a pediatrician: - Persistent discomfort or crying, especially around the time of bowel movements. - Hard or dry stools, indicating constipation. - Any significant change in feeding patterns or weight gain. For infants who are formula-fed, it's more typical to have daily bowel movements, but variations are still normal. If you have any concerns about your baby's bowel movements, it's always a good idea to discuss them with your pediatrician to ensure everything is okay.
