Hi Sir/Mam My 3.5 year old son is suffering from cold from 2 days what medicine should I give? pls suggest

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician3 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 42 months old and he is having a cold so don’t give him a bath and give syrup sinarest af 3 ml three times a day

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fdever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required x.
