Red Colour Rash over the body if present could be some allergy rashes which may be of sudden onset along with itching.
or it could be viral exanthematous rash where the the onset of rashes is there along with fever or assosiated symptoms. and it could be some infection also which needs proper examination.
Application of calamine lotion or Anti itch lotion like Ritch lotion can be done  for kdb soothing along with antiallergic medications initially.

Hi.It can be of many reasons. if the environment around baby is hot or humid.or air is infectious or it can be through sweat sometimes. babies skin is very thin and sensitive compared to us and reacts even to light changes in climate. 
It can be allergy sometimes. please observe if baby is having fever or crying out of some uneasiness with this rash.
If baby is quite and calm please don't worry it's not any infection. if it continues please consult pediatrician. and what soap are you using?
