Q.

Hi sir/madam, I have a 17day old baby and is it common for the baby to get get tears from the eyes when a baby cry and yawn. And also some time his eyes will be filled it tears. Please suggest

A. this occurs due to nasolacrimal duct obstruction which is very common in children at this age it occurs due to obstruction of pathway (nasolacrimal duct) from eyes to the nose for which eyes massage is needed regularly and this problem goes away with increasing age of the child meet your doctor for more information and also go through various videos which will also tell you how to massage the eyes to decrease the obstruction. so will decrease with time

A. hi yes mam ,it is normal. it is caused by lacramation. blocked tear ducts so to open it , just give Gentle massage from inner sides of eyes to tip of nose.
