Hi sir, i am a mother of 15days baby and he is not drinking milk from me so I got a suggestion to use nipple shield as he was getting fear when i am taking him to feed. So, when i started using nipple shield he started drinking milk from me. But he didn't habituate without nipple shield. can u suggest any other way for that?

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician2 years agoA. use it on and off and wean the baby off To boost lactation take lactare tablet and galact granules add oats and meat in the diet take lots of the oral fluids maintain hydration and keep a track on urine output

Not latching directly can be due to flat or inverted nipples. in that case u have to use nipple shield to feed ur baby..
Or try latching directly when the baby is in deep sleep
