Hi sir .At present I was mother feeding to my baby boy .he is 2months old .Now can I take covid 1st dose vaccine .Is it safe to my baby .And which vaccine is good covishield or covaccine.

A. Covid vaccine is supposed to be safe for lactating mothers.  The department of health and family welfare has recommended it for breastfeeding mothers. But however it is always better to consult your gynecologist itself once as she knows your body's requirements at this stage better.  She has known you throughout your pregnancy. It may vary from one person to another. Hence always better to consult her once. Always take necessary precautions while going for vaccination. Come back and change your clothes and wash your hands thoroughly and then carry the baby. Take care and stay safe.
