.. baby met with an accident 2 months ago. Only then we come to know about this disease. Then we consult with Chandigarh pgi. They told us that if your boy is not having any deficiency then we need not to worry. But if we go to private hospital they suggest we should go for operation. We are pretty much confused

they are fontanelle and usually they will close by maximum 18 months of age and only sometimes by 2 years of age.
they are normally present in all infants and is important for the development growth of the brain
it is important to see that the child is not suffering from calcium and vitamin d deficiency as well as the child is not having any other complaints because their deficiency is the common cause of delayed closure of fontanelle.
