Q.

hi my mom is 48 years old. before 4 years she tested thyroid and took thyronorm 25 mg tablet. and she didint take after some days. now after 4 years we checked thyroid and tsh value is 21.5 uIU/ml.T 3 0.9 ng/ml and T4 5.93 ug /dl.now doctor suggested to take thyronorm 100 mg and repeat the test after 6 weeks. is anything to worry about this increased TSH. in reference they have given normal value as below 5.please give some suggestions. I am so afraid

A. yes you have to follow the instruction of the doctor the TSH is high for further advice in this regard it is advisable to consult your doctor for physical examination and if there is need to do investigations also then only proper treatment can be given
