Hi, My daughter is 22 months old. Since today afternoon her eyes becoming red, seems to be affected by eye infection. started with left eye and now both eyes infected. Might be it has affected from my father who is 76 Yrs, From morning onwards he he also have the same problem. Due to continuous rain at Chennai, there is Madars eye here and there.

Please advice how to treat the same or 22 months baby, is there any eye drops for the same.

Eye Redness is commonly seen because of some allergic condition , infection orht  any trauma which needs proper examination.  if it is associarted with some discharge it could be infection but no self medication should be used.

Thank you so much Dr. for your immediate  response, yes there is continous discharge in the left eye, and now little bit started in the right also.

Is there any temporary remedy for this, until tomorrow morning. Tomorrow we will take to pediatrician.
