-read different books to the child
-talk to the child daily routine like the child understands you with regular eye contact
-singing songs and rhymes
-while talking repeat what your child says with right pronunciation and do not criticize the child
-avoid screen time(tv mobile laptop). ldeave permit the child to watch the activities that allow to improve his languaged
-take your child outside (open environment) and have a talk with the child regarding the things around the child
-introduce new words gradually for proper understanding
-speak about things child is interested in.

If your baby is speaking few words but not properly then in such case you should definitely join a speech therapy. It will help in improving babies are speaking skills. But if your baby is not speaking a single word here then in such case, you should definitely consult with your doctor about it.
