Q.

Hi, my child had severe fever 102* throughout the night .As recommended paracetamol has give at regular intervals of 6hrs, but still the fever is not getting down.

A. continue with it. keep temperature checking 6 hourly.. Fevers higher than 104° F. should be attended to immediately. Dress your child lightly. Use a sheet instead of a blanket to cover her in bed. Breastfeed or give your baby formula often to maintain hydration of body. Give soft easy to digest diet. maintain proper hygein.If fever idms high grade than do tepid sponging using tap or room temperature water. Consult your paedritician if Difficulty breathing or fast breathing Dehydration Fever that lasts longer than 4 days
