hi , my baby loses 500 grams of birth weight, . what I do

A. dear mum, it is normal for babies to lose weight after birth, which they normally regain in 15 days. thereafter baby should gain at least 500 grams of weight per month on an average.

A. Now I am giving formula milk only...breast flat nipple . hurted nipple ..so formula is safe for baby

A. Up to 500 g after birth because of jaundice and improper feeding is common but it is usually seen that kids gain that weight very quickly within the first month of birth because it’s important that the child should gain 500 g every month if that is not seen with the child then you can of course give formula to the child
