Q.

hi. my baby is 6 months old. if he is playing with any toys he involves very much. he doesnt respond to any other sound or even if he call. but he will respond when he is not involved in playing. is it a normal behaviour at this age. or should the baby respond when we call or for other sounds

A. By 3 months, a baby usually recognizes a parent's voice. By 6 months, babies can usually turn their eyes or head toward a sound. By 12 months, babies can usually imitate some sounds and produce a few words, such as "Mama" or "bye-bye.
