Q.

Hi, my baby is 6.5 months old he is having fever and cold since yesterday and he is crying a lot.. we already visited Dr. today morning and we are giving medication but his fever is not going down yet.. m so tensed..

A. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated . Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful . Medicines like wikoryl / tminiic bu / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms . Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .
